Our Story - His Hands
The CROSSing began as a small prayer group of eight people in the basement of a Moscow, Idaho home. This group gathered Sundays to seek the heart and direction of GOD. After three weeks of prayer they started a Sunday evening prayer & Bible study time for their families. The following week a couple showed up at the door and asked if they could join the Bible study. The next week the same thing happened as another family arrived. This continued until the group had to move from the basement to the main living room of the home while at the same time starting a ministry in the basement for the children of the families present. Two months later a Men’s Bible study was started, meeting at a local Mexican restaurant.
While all this was happening a group of teenagers began attending Sunday evenings and it became quite evident that GOD had plans to reach the heart of young people in the community. On Thursday, September 11th (9-11) of 2003 a community youth ministry was birthed and was named The CROSSing. A local church allowed The CROSSing Youth Ministry to meet in its building. The youth group began to grow as GOD was changing their lives.
By January of 2004 the group of believers had outgrown the house and its basement. Prayer remained the heart of the ministry. After much prayer 12 people from the group met to prepare for what their LORD would have them do next. They began looking for a new location and within weeks one was found. On Resurrection Sunday, evening of 2004, the group moved into an old funeral house and held its first Resurrection Sunday celebration. With no money, yet with their LORD’s direction, they left the home and trusted the LORD, Yahveh Yireh, to provide.
Within three months the group had outgrown the funeral house and began a new search. An empty “old grange” was located in June and another step of faith was taken. This time not only did the rent go up but GOD directed them to start a Sunday Morning Gathering. After two weeks of intense restoration of the building (cleaning, painting, wood floors sanded and refinished, sound panels built and installed, etc.) the group moved into the “Old Grange” in July. At their new location on Main Street, The CROSSing Youth Ministry began using the building as well.
February 2005, Ministry Teams were established for Worship, Youth, Children, and Women. The Ministry Teams would pray and gain vision, then develop plans and direction for the ministries. The leaders that make up these teams focus on the heart and direction of The CROSSing and how the specific ministry areas can minister in parallel to one another while moving in the same direction as the LORD is leading the body.
August 2005, The CROSSing launched a university Bible study on the campus of the University of Idaho. The Bible study was named “CROSS-eyed”. This ministry was from the heart of The CROSSing, reaching the younger generation for Jesus Christ. CROSS-eyed produced great fruit.
The Old Grange eventually became too small for the Sunday celebration, and GOD opened up six more opportunities and locations throughout Moscow over the course of the next 4 years – a shopping mall, an old church building, a tarp/tent in the parking lot of that church, the Kibbie Dome (U of I football stadium), War Memorial Gym (U of I basketball gym), and the Administration Building Auditorium on the University of Idaho campus. June 2007, two elders were ordained and joined the Pastor to follow Christ and lead His body in faith/trust and obedience.
GOD has used The CROSSing as many lost people have been saved and many baptized. Discipleship is a key part of the ministry and Bible studies are held almost daily. The CROSSing continues to be led and fed by GOD.
The CROSSing currently meets at its 10th location –purchased in 2008 on 715 Travois Way. The ministries offered through The CROSSing are GOD’s ministries, and our intention is to bathe those ministries in prayer and walk in obedience to the direction of His Holy Spirit.

Articles Of Faith
We believe the true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ's Agape love, without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.
We are a non-denominational church, members of the Body of Christ. Attached are 11 primary articles of the Christian faith which reflect the heart of the teaching and preaching ministry of this local church.
We receive these areas of doctrinal teaching on which, historically, there has been general agreement among all true born-again Christians. We desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such interpretation shall become an issue which hinders the ministry to which God has called us.
